Seattle Homeland Security facility shuts down over coronavirus fears

An employee there may be infected with coronavirus

A Department of Homeland Security field office in King County, Wash., has closed due to concerns that an employee there may be infected with coronavirus, according to an article on the Komo News website.

The facility will remain closed for the next 14 days and employees there will self-quarantine during that period.

While in quarantine, employees will telework, if possible, to reduce the threat of community spread of coronavirus.

The decision to close was made because an employee had visited a family member at the Life Care Facility in Kirkland before it was known that the facility was impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.
