The Sanders Trust Obtains Two Properties, Totaling $20.4 Million

The Sanders Trust, a Birmingham-based healthcare real estate and development firm, recently completed an acquisition in both Mississippi and Ohio, increasing the organization’s footprint to 24 states. Totaling a combined $20.4 million, these two property acquisitions include a premier multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in Pascagoula, Mississippi and a cancer treatment center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Sanders Trust acquired a $12.6 million facility in Blue Ash, Ohio. Occupied by Oncology / Hematology Care, Inc. (OHC), it is a 39,484 square-foot cancer treatment facility. Fighting cancer for more than three decades, OHC is comprised of 13 offices in the greater Cincinnati area and is one of the nation’s largest independent oncology practices. It has become the region’s premier source of treatment for nearly every form of cancer and complex blood disorder.

The Mississippi Coast Endoscopy & ASC is a 18,500 square-foot facility that is home to a premier multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center. Located in Pascagoula, Mississippi, the $7.8 million center treats patients in the fields of gastroenterology, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery and a number of other specialties. The surgery center is partially owned and operated by AMSURG, a nationally recognized leader in the strategic and operational management of over 245 surgery centers and more than 2,000 physician partners across the United States.

“I am pleased that The Sanders Trust continues to grow its national footprint with the acquisition of these two strategic properties anchored by organizations who are leaders in their respective communities in providing quality care,” stated Rance M. Sanders, President and CEO of The Sanders Trust.
