UTSW's Clements Hospital honored as Dallas' Real Estate Project Of The Year

Project includes 35,000 square feet of dedicated educational space


UT Southwestern Medical Center’s William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital was honored as Dallas' Real Estate Project Of The Year by D CEO and D Healthcare Daily, according to an article on the D Healthcare Daily website.

The 12-story, 1.3-million-square-foot, W-shaped teaching hospital was designed to have a "more human" scale, according to the website.

Stretched out, the hospital would be the length of two football fields. Its W-shape reduces travel distances for physicians and allows the floors to be separated into four units with 16 beds each.

Upgraded technology includes the iPhones carried by the nurses and streaming capabilities in the operating suites.
