EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, Wash., is screening all visitors coming into the hospital for flu-like symptoms. It's the first time in nine years they’ve implemented these screenings, according to an article on the Q13 Fox website.
Nurses will greet each visitor and ask them basic health questions to determine whether they’ll be able to visit patients.
If they are deemed healthy, they will be getting a badge with a little sticker. Each day of the week will have a different color sticker.
The hospital says the flu numbers are so extreme that the hospital is taking this extra precaution to protect patients.
