A hospital in Bellingham, Wash., postponed all but emergency surgeries in early September because of a water chemistry issue, according to an article on the Becker’s Hospital Review website.
The water issue is affecting sterilization, according to a statement from PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.
The hospital said it is "working around-the-clock on further analysis and repairs."
The hospital's emergency department remained open and continue to accept patients.
Non-emergency surgeries at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center continued to be postponed as of Sept. 8, according to an article on the KGMI website.
