As many as 2.8 million adults living in long-term care facilities (LTCFs) contract HAIs every year, according to a recent report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Despite this, most LTCFs rely on preventive methods, which have proven insufficient. Some new technologies are showing promise for safeguarding facility surfaces, according to the white paper.
