The hospital has won a number of safety, quality, and design awards — including a nomination for the prestigious Dutch Design Award.
In addition, patient intake rose 47 percent.
Architectural and interior ideas contribute to reducing patients’ fears. For instance, the children’s department added stepping stones at service counters that allow kids to communicate eye to eye with the hospital staff.
