N.H. hospital planning solar project

A total of 360 panels will generate 120.6 kilowatt hours of electricity annually

New Hampshire's York Hospital plans to install a series of solar arrays, according to an article on the Sea Coast Online website.

The overall electricity savings is minimal compared to the total electricity the healthcare facility uses, but hospital president Jud Knox believes the project is still worthwhile.

“As a major employer in the community, I think the hospital has a responsibility to be a good environmental citizen,” Knox said in the article.

Plans call for two types of solar racks to be installed. In total, the racks will hold 360 panels that together will generate 120.6 kilowatt hours of electricity annually.
