Maintaining compliance with The Joint Commission’s process can be challenging


With a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) the question of what went wrong with a hospital's life safety compliance standards is no longer a mystery, according to an article on the FacilityCare website.

If a Joint Commission survey reveals noncompliance, then that information is kept in a central place that can be followed up on. 

One of the most practical applications of using CMMS technology is in the documentation of preventive maintenance.

In a CMMS, an inventory item can also be tagged with information regarding its risk assessment as well as the level of maintenance that has already been done.
