Nurse says there are too few staff to keep it clean


A flagship NHS hospital is being called filthy and unsafe by staff, according to an article on the Mirror website.

One nurse at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital said there are too few staff to keep it clean and nurses are being forced to help with maintenance

The nurse — who asked not to be named – claimed the £842 million complex is at breaking point.

“Trolleys used to transport medical supplies are filthy because nobody has time to clean them properly. These things go from ward to ward so infections and bugs can be spread right around the hospital.”
