Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, N.H., is outsourcing the organization and management of hospital operations and maintenance, according to an article on the Healthcare Construction + Operations website.
Although the hospital had spent $55 million on the new facility in 2010, there was already infrastructure degradation. To remedy this, Huggins brought in new leadership.
The hospital could no longer self-manage its facilities operations and chose to work with a third-party company.
To improve the facility, get the maintenance program back on track and ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations, ABM Healthcare Support Services met with the existing staff.
