Rehab center adds mocked-up marketplace, carpentry shop

Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre adds amenities to help patients recover from traumatic injuries


Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Ontario, Canada, has added a mocked-up marketplace and a renovated carpentry shop to help patients recover from traumatic injuries, according to an article on the St. Catherine's Standard website.

The newly constructed marketplace gives patients an opportunity to practice every skills.

Hotel Dieu’s renovation was selected by Niagara College for its 20th annual Many Hands program. 

Many Hands enlisted the efforts of the college’s events management students who brought in more than $42,400 to cover the costs of materials and equipment,  while about 32 construction and renovations technician students spent almost every Friday since Jan. 13 working to make the project a reality.
