Report says employees download new malware every four seconds

Healthcare breach costs have jumped 282 percent since 2015

A recent report says healthcare breach costs have jumped 282 percent since 2015 and employees download new malware every four seconds, according to an article on the Healthcare IT News website.

About 12 million new malware variants were discovered — each month. The report found more new malware discovered in the last two years than in the last 10 years.

Researchers analyzed more than 31,000 gateways to determine malware trends and threats facing organizations, the impact successful breaches have on organizations and financial effects beyond remediation costs.
