Seattle hospital upgrades communications system

Valley Medical Center is expanding deployment of secure communication system


Valley Medical Center, located in the suburbs of Seattle, has streamlined its security system, according to an article on the Health Facility Management website.

The hospital is expanding deployment of secure communication system. The new platform allows the medical center to integrate its EHR, nurse call and patient monitoring systems with mobile technologies. 

In the first three months, the hospital saved roughly $54,000 in cost avoidance on the renal respiratory unit, and saw patient satisfaction scores rise to the 99th percentile. 

Valley Medical is now rolling out the platform to all of its clinical departments.
