South Carolina hospitals gear up for storms

Hospitals throughout the Greenville region prepared for the worst of expected storms

Hospitals throughout the Greenville, S.C., region prepared for the worst of expected storms earlier this week, according to an article on the Greenville News website.

Plans for staff to stay over if necessary were put into place at Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, with cots set up in empty classrooms.

Facilities staff began pre-treating parking lots and roadways to make travel as safe as possible and heavy snow removal equipment also was being delivered, the article said.

Greenville Health System also made accommodations for staff to stay over.

The hospital had enough food and medical supplies for three days beyond the normal supplies and there are still more supplies at a warehouse staged and ready to go out as needed.
