The new Stanford (Calif.) Hospital will have two dozen robots in charge of performing repetitive, mechanical tasks across the facility, according to an article on the Becker's Hospital Review website.
Twenty-three of the robots will deliver linens, packages and medical supplies.
Three more robots will keep track of the medication inventory and count out and package pills.
The 4-foot-tall robots will use lasers and GPS technology to locate obstacles or wirelessly open doors.
