The Cleveland Clinic, in cooperation with the International Parking Institute (IPI), is offering a two-day Parking CARES Symposium Aug. 5 and 6 to highlight best practices from the clinic’s award-winning parking operations.

Cleveland Clinic’s parking operations effectively balances the parking needs of patients, employees, visitors and guests as it operates 44,000 spaces, 11 garages, 116 surface lots and 24 valet locations that serve 50,000 customers in its Northeast Ohio Health System.

Symposium attendees will learn how to meet patients’ needs and still serve the parking needs of employees, visitors and guests at their own healthcare facilities.

“IPI is pleased to collaborate with the Cleveland Clinic to bring this symposium to healthcare executives and managers as well as parking professionals,” said Shawn Conrad, CAE, IPI’s executive director, in a press release.   “Impressions of a healthcare facility often begin in the garage or parking lot, so it’s important for facility executives and managers to be current about best practices that improve parking efficiencies and customer service.  The Parking CARES Symposium will provide an inside look at the CARES model successfully used by one of the nation’s leading medical center parking operations.”
