According to data from the Center for Studying Health System Change, these are the top five reasond patients visit retail clinics. The results were posted recently on the Becker's Hospital Review website. The data reflects retail clinic visits in the 12 months of 2010. The article also included the primary reason for the clinic visit.

Major reasons for choosing a retail clinic:

1. Hours were more convenient 

2. No need to make an appointment

3. Location was more convenient 

4. Cost was lower 

5. No usual source of care
