Phoenix Park Care Village, a Scunthorpe, U.K., care village that was branded "inadequate" by health inspectors last September has failed to make improvements, according to an article on the Scunthorpe Telegraph website.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) carried out three unannounced follow-up inspections after the service was found to be in breach of seven health and social care regulations.
Inspectors found:
• A resident drank cleaning fluids
• Two residents were unable to use their en-suite bathrooms because mattresses and mobility equipment were stored in them
• Bags with contaminated linen were stored in a communal bathroom
• Infection control practices did not reflect current guidance
