Uber Health, a B2B transportation platform, launched

Services available specifically to healthcare providers

Uber Health, a new ride-hailing platform available specifically to healthcare providers, will assign rides for patients from a centralized dashboard, according to an article on the TechCrunch website.

The service does not require the rider to have the Uber app or a smartphone.

The service is HIPAA compliant and can be used on the client-side from a landline.

Uber Health charges its healthcare organization customers only for the cost of individual rides, which are at par with what those rides would cost via the consumer app. Access to the dashboard and the reporting tools is included free. Uber already has more than 100 healthcare organizations on the platform, the article said.
