Hospital constantly updates disaster-response plans

Indiana healthcare facility is becoming a verified level 3 trauma center

Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind., constantly updates disaster-response plans and is becoming a verified level 3 trauma center, according to an article on the Sun Commercial website.

The Good Samaritan staff have had a dedicated emergency management committee with 36 members for years. It has the resources available for two mobile ER tents and a mobile intensive-care unit, so it can set up tents in the middle of a field with full power.

The hospital maintains enough supplies in the building to manage for several days.
